Meeting

The UNOLS 2024 Safety Committee Meeting will be held in Halifax, NS, Canada on 30 April 2024. The meeting will take place at the COVE. 

The conference hotel is the Westin Nova Scotian. A block of hotel rooms has been reserved at a special group rate. The last day to book you hotel room was Friday, March 29, 2024.

Meeting details are still to be determined & finalized but this is our general plan for 30 April:

• Travel from Halifax waterfront / hotel to Dartmouth via walk, ferry, cab, etc.

• 0830-1400 - Safety Committee Meeting - incl. catered lunch & snacks - at COVE, 27 Parker St, Dartmouth

• 1400-1600 - COVE Interactive Tour

• 1600-1800 - Icebreaker Reception - open invitation - industry, government, academia, etc.

• Travel back to Halifax waterfront / hotel via walk, ferry, cab, etc.

The UNOLS 2024 Annual RVOC Meeting will be held in Halifax, NS, Canada on 01 - 02 May 2024. The meeting will take place at the Westin Nova Scotia in the Atlantic Ballroom. Breakfast and lunch will be provided both days.

• RVOC Meeting 0830-1600 - Westin Nova Scotian
• Possible visit to CCG Fisheries Research Vessel
• RVOC Dinner / Keynote address – Dinner is being held at the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21. If you wish to attend the dinner, please buy dinner tickets when you register for the meeting. 
• Keynote:  Canadian National Shipbuilding Strategy incl. Research Vessels

2 May

• RVOC Meeting 0830-1700 - Westin Nova Scotian

We anticipate strong participation with our Canadian peers including the Dept. of Fisheries and Oceans, the Canadian Coast Guard, Global Affairs Canada, and Dalhousie University.

2023 UNOLS Annual Meeting

• The meeting will be a full day meeting, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. 

• A reception will be held after the meeting, 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the ASU Walter Center Atrium.

The MSROC Committee will hold a virtual meeting. 

2024 DeSSC Community Meeting - 18 Feb 2024

Location:

• Loyola University of New Orleans - a short ride on the trolley from the French Quarter
• Danna Student Center / Audubon Room
• Morning coffee will be provided. Participants will be given ample time to enjoy one of the local restaurants for lunch.

Getting to Loyola

The Loyola campus is easily accessible from the "St Charles at Tulane/Loyola" stop of the St. Charles Streetcar, a great way to experience New Orleans.  Jump on the streetcar at any of the stops along St. Charles St.  It is about a 30min ride from the convention center so plan ahead.    There are other possible public transportation options that might be more direct depending on your hotel.  Download the Le Pass App  to find the schedules and pay.  If not using the App, exact change ($1.25) is required to ride.
