UNOLS will be holding its annual  2026 Research Vessel Operators Committee Meeting at Woods Hole Institution of Oceanography on May 6 & 7, 2026. Both days will be full meeting days. The meeting will be held in the Clark Building on the 5th floor. 

Registration for the RVOC Meeting is OPEN! Please use this link to pay for your registration: RVOC Registration. The registration fee this year is $475.00. 

This year your registration includes both the icebreaker reception on Tuesday May 5 at the Flying Bridge Restaurant and the dinner on Wednesday May 6 at the Captain Kidd Restaurant. Your registration also includes an AM snack, lunch, and PM snack for each meeting day. If you wish to bring a guest to the dinner on the 6th, additional tickets are available for $85.00.

The 2025 Winter DeSSC Community Meeting will take place on Sunday, Dec 14, 2025, at Loyola University in New Orleans, LA. The meeting will be held in the Danna Student Center's Audubon Room.

This meeting is open to anyone interested in Deep Submergence Research and the facilities that drive it.   It is a great opportunity to network with other Deep Sea Research enthusiasts and hear about current initiatives within the Deep Submergence Science Committee (DeSSC) and the National Deep Submergence Facility (NDSF).  Come along!

Getting to Loyola

The Loyola campus is easily accessible from the "St Charles at Tulane/Loyola" stop of the St. Charles Streetcar, a great way to experience New Orleans.  Jump on the streetcar at any of the stops along St. Charles St.  It is about a 30min ride from the convention center so plan ahead.    There are other possible public transportation options that might be more direct depending on your hotel.  Download the Le Pass App  to find the schedules and pay.  If not using the App, exact change ($1.25) is required to ride.
