The International Maritime Organization Adopts Polar Code

Last November (2014) the International Maritime Organization (IMO) adopted the Polar Code, also known as the International Code for Ships Operating in Polar Waters. This important safety regulation helps protect ships and the people aboard them in the harsh environment of the waters surrounding the two poles.
