The Naval Horizons challenge is designed to introduce STEM college students to cutting-edge science and technology topics that impact the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.

Students are invited to watch the video series, select one topic and share their ideas on the current state of the art and a futurist vision of the Navy and/or Marine Corps in the year 2040.  They will also have the option to submit a  statement of interest that will be used to connect students with Department of Navy scientists and engineers to learn more.

Each application will be reviewed to ensure that the responses provided are technically sufficient.  Submissions will be evaluated on a rolling basis and the first 3,000 submissions to meet the evaluation criteria will be awarded a $200 stipend.

We kindly request that you share this opportunity with your networks.  Eligible students can visit the Naval Horizons website to learn more and subscribe for notifications at: navalhorizons.asee.org

The challenge closes on January 15, 2021, at 12 PM EST.
