Marine Engineer/AB – RV HUGH R SHARP

Do you have a passion for working with engines, electrical, hydraulic, and working at sea? Experienced or eager to learn how to operate winches, frames, and cranes to deploy and recover equipment?

The University of Delaware is seeking an entry to mid-level engineer for a position in Lewes, Delaware. Engineers monitor, maintain, and repair ship’s systems and operate winches and cranes to deploy scientific equipment. Great team atmosphere and interesting missions. Missions are typically 10-18 days in the mid-Atlantic. Ship maintenance is performed alongside during the off season Mon-Fri.

On the job training provided. Short term contract with potential for full time. QMED preferred, but will train and assist entry level hard worker with obtaining USCG credential. Experienced Relief Engineer for fill in work also desirable.
