Friday, November 18th - Toulouse Room

 

08:30 am Two Training Sessions will be held concurrently.  A description of each session can be found by clicking on the title of the training course below.  Both of these sessions will offer hands-on activities.  In order for the presenters to adequately prepare for the session and have the enough training material on-hand, we ask that you inform us in advance of the meeting on the session that you plan to attend.  Simply send an email message to the UNOLS Office office@unols.org indicating the session.

 

Ø  Short Course on Automated Underway Meteorological Observation – Facilitators: Chris Fairall (NOAA), Dan Wolfe (NOAA), and Shawn Smith (FSU).  This session will begin at 8:30 am and run until 12:45 pm with a 15 minute break.The agenda for the session is available at UnderwayMetObs_agenda.pdf

Ø  Fiber Optic Termination Demo – Andrew Girard (WHOI).  This session will begin at 8:30 am and last a half day.
