2010 Ridge 2000 Community Meeting

The 2010 Ridge 2000 Community Meeting aims to capitalize on multi-disciplinary experiments and observations of the NSF Ridge 2000 Program at its Integrated Study Sites, Time Critical Studies sites, and elsewhere- by promoting in-depth discussions, data sharing, and the preparation of data integration and synthesis manuscripts.  These interdisciplinary papers will describe new conceptual and empirical models of ocean spreading center processes, developed over the past decade of research on mid-ocean ridges.  Participants in the 2010 Community Meeting will join ~10-person Working Groups of their choosing, which will integrate and synthesize knowledge on a particular topic or study site before, during, and following the meeting, working toward writing one or more synthesis manuscripts.
