Proposed UNOLS Charter Revisions

1. The UNOLS Charter requires re-adoption by a vote of the membership every three years (Section 7). The Charter was revised and adopted at the annual meeting on October 12, 2007; therefore, it is due to be re-adopted at this year’s annual meeting. Additionally, there are a number of editorial and a few substantive changes that are being proposed.

2. A ballot measure for the UNOLS Representatives at the annual meeting on October 14-15, 2010 will ask for approval of the proposed changes to the charter and for re-adoption of the Charter.

3. The proposed changes are highlighted in the document available on-line at <http://www.unols.org/meetings/2010/201010anu/ucharter_rev090810_proposed.pdf> as follows: deleted text is shown as strikethrough and added text is shown with an underline. A bar should show in the left margin.
