0830    Call the Meeting:  Dave Hebert, FIC Chair, will call the meeting to order and provide an opportunity for introductions.

·         IWG-F Effort to Develop an Implementation Plan – Bob Winokur

 

0910    WHOI Long-Coring System – Development and Testing – Al Suchy or Bill Curry

 

0930    New Load Handling Systems (Dave Hebert)

·         Status report on the acquisition of the new Load Handling System for Kilo Moana.

·         Experiences with the Load Handling System aboard Hugh R. Sharp

 

0950    American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA) Guidelines – Terry Whitledge will review the ADA Guidelines document.

1040    Global Science Mission Requirements (SMRs) Update (Dave Hebert)

·         Review feedback received.

·         Discuss next steps

 

1100    Ocean Class SMRs and Acquisition Process – The Ocean Class SMRs were revised and sent to ONR.  Discuss next steps and identify any future actions for FIC. (Bob Houtman and Dave Hebert)

 

1115    New UNOLS Web Page – Volunteering and Cruise Opportunities – it is up and running! Review usage.  (Annette DeSilva)

 

1125    UNOLS Ship Scheduling Model results (Mike Prince)

1300    Ocean Observatory Projections -Status report on timeline and implementation plans (Susan Banahan)

 

1330    Fleet Improvement Plan (FIP) Discussion (Dave Hebert)

- Review Working Draft and summarize any remaining assignments.

- Evaluate FIP Projections and develop Fleet Plan recommendations

 

A mid-afternoon break will be taken at about 1415.
