Western Society of Naturalists Student Workshop

Bridging Ecology and Deep Sea Research

November 9th – 6:00 pm

DESSC Meeting Participants are invited!


In conjunction with the annual Deep Submergence Science Committee meetings, the Western Society of Naturalists (WSN) student committee will be holding a workshop to foster connections and collaborations between members of our two societies. The workshop will focus on bridging ecology and deep-sea research. The workshop and the following ever popular WSN student mixer will both be held at the Seattle Aquarium. Speakers include Craig Young (DESSC Member and Oregon University), Deborah Kelley (DESSC Member and University of Washington), Kris Ludwig (University of Washington), and others.

 

The Western Society of Naturalist 2006 Annual Meeting will be held November 10-12 at the Marriott Town Center hotel in Redmond, Washington.  For additional details about this meeting, please visit <http://willow.sslnetworking.net/~wsn/symposia.shtml>.

Please Note: This is the fall DESSC meeting. There will not be a DESSC meeting at the Fall 2006 AGU Meeting in San Francisco.  The fall 2007 DESSC Meeting is scheduled to coincide with the December 2007 AGU meeting in San Francisco.
