Community Input Sought – If you are unable to attend the ARRV meeting on June 13th, but wish to provide input regarding the vessel’s design features that are being considered for the preliminary design, please complete the Registration/Input Form at the bottom of this web page <Registration/Input Form>. There is a “check-box” on the form to indicate whether or not you plan to attend the June 13th Meeting. Input received will be considered at the meeting.

A design review meeting of the Alaska Region Research Vessel (ARRV) will be held at the National Science Foundation on 13 June 2002, 0815-1700. The science missions, mission requirements, concept design, and model testing results will be discussed with regard to general science missions and more specific missions in open water and seasonally ice-covered seas of the North Pacific Ocean. Model test results for the hull and propulsion units will be presented for both ice and open water conditions. Finally, a “Question &Answer” panel will be convened to address questions pertaining to the current design status. A wine and cheese social will be held at the end of the day for further small group discussions.

All individuals who are interested in attending the design review meeting for the Alaska Region Research Vessel are required to complete the registration form at the bottom of this web page. The information will be used to provide the National Science Foundation with an attendance list for security purposes. Security badges and security check-in is at the main entrance to Stafford Building I.

Hotel Information
