The 2001 RVOC Meeting will be hosted
by the Graduate School of Oceanography (GSO), University of Rhode Island (URI).
The first day of the meeting will be a joint session with the Research Vessel
Technical Enhancement Committee and will be held in Corliss Auditorium at
the GSO Campus in Narragansett, RI. The second day of the meeting, October
24th, will be held at The Hotel Viking in Newport, RI.
On day-three, October 25th, the RVOC meeting will convene
again at the GSO Campus in Narragansett. The agenda for the RVTEC meeting is posted

Thursday, October 25th:
The regular RVOC regular meeting is scheduled to end in the morning on
October 25th. The Operators’ Roundtable Session is expected to run into
mid afternoon. For those planning
to attend the Roundtable Session a box lunch will be available at the meeting
for a cost of $9.00.

Newport Mansions Tour: Bellevue Avenue, 10:00am, The Breakers, one hour guided tour ($15.00) followed by
The Astors’ Beechwood Mansion, 45 minute tour given by actors in period costumes ($10.00).
Lunch at historic White Horse Tavern, Marlborough St.
Viking Bus Tour, leave at 2:00 pm from the Visitor Center, America’s Cup Avenue, 1 ½ hour scenic tour, 150 points of interest ($18.00).
Shopping at Brick Market Place, Thames Street and/or Bannister’s Wharf.
