OBJECTIVE:
To work for a company that will enable me to use my electronic, computer and mechanical knowledge in a learning environment.

STATEMENT:
I am a resourceful individual who can improvise and enjoys challenge. I rely as much on insight as I do on my basic skills. I never consider a failure repaired until the source of the problem is identified and eliminated. Diagnosis should never be limited to one fault at least two should always be checked for.

WORK HISTORY:
2005 Design and repair of museum quality fiber optic lighting. Worked with fixtures designed for 3mm and 1mm fibers. Repaired metal halide and halogen illuminators for randomized and standard feeds. Working knowledge of acrylic, glass, quartz fiber and a variety of fixtures, collimators, lenses and filters for display.

2005-2002 Re-entered employment in motorcycle repair. Hangtime Motorcycles in Lebec, CA, Three Brothers Cycles in Yuma, AZ, Iron Horse Corral in Silver City, NM, Service Center, Charlottesville, VA. Repaired and built V-Twin customs, repaired and modified off road two stroke and four stroke motorcycles and ATVs. Service and repair on metric and American roadbikes and cruisers. Managed shops, parts ordering and inventory.

2002-1983 Soul proprietor of three successful independent Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz and Jaguar repair shops in Florida, California and Virginia. These were a parts and repair shop which I worked alone.1983-1975 Various position that spanned from aircraft repair to the installation of wind generating power units and water pumping stations. Continued working on motorcycles, German vehicles, fuel injection and electronics.

1975-1969 Started working on early production Bosche mechanical and electronic fuel injection. My interest in machinery started with British motorcycles at an independent repair shop. Learned automotive machining principles and engine building at a local machine shop.

EDUCATION:
1978-1969 Veteran of the USMC. Honorable Discharge in 1971. Worked while studying at a Community College and transferred into the University of Virginia. Calculus, Chemistry, Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Spanish, French, English, Humanities, Photography and some electives were my major courses of study. I completed 5 semesters of college work. Additional technical education includes: two years of Electronics and one year of Computer Repair designed around the A+ Certification Exam. I hold an open-water PADI certification. I am licensed to work with R-12 and 134-A refrigerants. Currently hold a class A CDL learner’s permit with endorsements for air brakes and cargo. Certified Stihl trained technician and can operate an inertia type dynamometer. Have worked with digital photography and imaging. Most of my high school years took place studying in a Swiss boarding school. I spent half of my youth in Mexico City. French and Spanish were once quite good.
