Responsible for all marine operations at a major oil refinery, including pilotage, tug operations, bunkering, vetting, chartering, lightering, procurement, personnel and administration. In addition to the daily berthing of general cargo, bulk and petroleum tankers exceeding 500,000 DWTs, provide oil spill response and marine expertise to the refinery.

1981 – 1990 Coastal Tug and Barge, Inc. Miami, Florida - Master
Sea-going tugs and barges, including seven years as captain of a 15,000 HP Articulated Tug and Barge.

Starting as Ordinary Seaman and proceeding through the ranks to Master, I sailed on cargo vessels, tugs and tankers throughout the world.
