OBJECTIVE:
Looking for job as Mate, preferably one with lots of sea time. Looking for a permanent career-type job. Plan on eventually upgrading to Master 1600 Ton Oceans.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
Edison Chouest Offshore
Served as Mate on 200 foot, 300 ton Seismic Survey vessel in Africa and Persian Gulf. Political situation has forced Chouest to recall American crew. Also served as Mate on 200 foot 300 ton Supply boat in the Gulf of Mexico. Extensive experience in docking and maneuvering supply vessels at various oil rigs and in the very busy ports of Southern Louisiana. Extensive experience driving lines for survey projects. (August, 2001 to present).

Crowley Marine Services
Served as Mate on Tug and Barge runs from Seattle to Portland and Seattle to Alaska including Prince William Sound, SE, Western Alaska and Prudhoe Bay.
(July, 2000 to June, 2001).

Master on Live- Aboard Charter Dive Boat--Island of Hawaii
(May and June, 2000)

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (June,1997-November,1999)
Served as AB and seaman surveyor on hydrographic ship Rainier, surveying waters of Alaska (SE, Yakutat, Kodiak, SW and Prince William Sound).
Served for 2 years of that time as master of 30 foot hydrographic launch.
Extensive experience in rough water small boat handling.
Served for 6 months as quartermaster on ship, assisting with navigation watches, chart corrections, weather reports, communications, etc.
Served for two years as Medical Officer responsible for health of the 65 crew members and organization of medical department.
Also served as Dive Master in charge of a 7 member dive team. Responsible for safety, training and equipment.

Various commercial fishing boats (1984-1997)
Worked in various commercial fisheries including salmon, crab, albacore, halibut and cod. Types of vessels include longliners, crabbers, trollers and seiners from 30 feet to 140 feet. Extensive navigation experience and rough water handling on all of them.
Waters worked: California, Oregon and Alaskan waters from Yakutat to Attu.

Have also worked as a carpenter, volunteer fireman/ EMS, photographer and other various positions.
