Does anyone know off a good source to purchase clamps for 0.680inch trawl wire?
I need to attach a 12kHz Benthos pinger to our new 0.680inch trawl
wire that has a larger diameter than our older 0.5inch trawl wire.
I have attached a picture of the 12kHz pinger clamped to our
0.322inch wire next to our new 0.680inch wire and a few of our older
Benthos brass clamps.

I figured I would ask RVTECH before I permanently modify our older clamps.
Thank You,
Andrew

Andrew,
I am sure that Teledyne Benthos in North Falmouth, MA might entertain
the idea of making a new one (or more) for you. Be prepared to pay a
price though. A few months back we thought we had a shortage of clamps
for 9/16" Trawl Wire and I inquired with them to make new ones. The
price was going to be high for the material and machining and they were
not going to give up the drawing. They did locate enough of the brass
(or material) to make up to 3 new ones but that was it and they were not
planning to restock it as they had not made any in many years. Luckily,
we located what we needed. Let me know if you want the contact information.
As to weather we have any clamps for .68 wire here, I cannot say as each
of our ships is presently at sea.
Regards,
Chris
