UNOLS is seeking nominations to fill committee vacancies on the Scientific
Committee for Oceanographic Aircraft Research (SCOAR)
The Scientific Committee for Oceanographic Aircraft Research is seeking additional
committee members to replace two members that are due to rotate off in the next
year or so. Experience with the use of aircraft or coordinating the use of aircraft
with other marine facilities in your research is highly desirable. The successful
nominee's research discipline will be a consideration, as we hope to complement
the existing disciplinary makeup of the committee, which includes physical oceanography,
air-sea interactions, marine meteorology and marine ecology. Regional and institutional
diversity will also be considered in choosing a new member. The term of office
is three years and a member may serve one additional three-year term. For more

Committee members are appointed by the UNOLS Chair based on the recommendation of the Committee and with the concurrence of the UNOLS Council.
